Originally honing his craft as a hairdresser in Japan, Tomihiro decided to move to London, driven by the desire to develop a distinctive artistic identity. Combining the jobs of hair stylist and head prop designer, he launched his personal brand Tomikono Wig in 2016.

Fast forward seven years, and Tomihiro Kono has become an established value, leaving his mark through a collection of noteworthy collaborations with designers such as Junya Watanabe, Maison Margiela, and Collina Strada. Among his most illustrious works is his collaboration with Björk, for whom Tomihiro crafted an array of head props that became part of his Fancy Creatures ideation pool. Oh yeah, and he designed a red Mohawk for Timothée Chalamet.
